Our non-accredited courses may be undertaken by anyone. They are based on the same learning materials and assessment procedures as the accredited courses; however, there are no formal ‘competency’ requirements that must be satisfied in order to successfully complete the course.
Once you have completed the on-line learning and assessment test, you will be issued with a ‘Certificate of completion’ from Building Learning, listing the topics you’ve covered.
You will need to have access to a laptop or desktop computer and be familiar with common keyboard and mouse (or touchscreen) functions. The materials are written in plain English and contain many literacy-friendly elements, such as diagrams, photos and video clips. We understand that lots of timber industry workers have lower-level LLN (language, literacy and numeracy) skills, so we have designed these materials accordingly.
You may phone David McElvenny to discuss any of these issues, including the prospect of customising the course content to suit your enterprise-specific training needs. Contact details are on the Contact page.
